NARRATIVE STORY
Tumakbo si Juan papunta sa hardin at nagbitin ng mga dahon sa tali bilang kanyang mga target. Sumasayaw ang mga dahon sa ihip ng hangin. Hinawakan niya nang mahigpit ang pana, huminga nang malalim, at hinila ang tali. Tumama ang palaso, bumagsak ang unang dahon. Ngumiti si Juan. “Kaya ko ‘to!”

History
The Mandaya’s version for archery. In translation, the term refers to the bow and arrow used as an instrument in the game. Bamboo is again the key material for the bow and arrow used in Pana. The bowstring is often made of elastic materials such as rubber. The arrow is made of thin strips of bamboo, approximately a half inch in thickness, and sharpened at the tip. (Genevieve, Q. 2025)
